MESSAGE

My research aims to address and reduce child health inequalities, with a primary focus on low- and middle-income countries through the perspectives of social epidemiology and the social determinants of health.

NARRATIVE CV

Yuko Arimura is a Specially Appointed Researcher at the Institute for Global Health Policy Research under the Bureau of GLobal Health Cooperation at the Japan Institute for Health Security in Japan. In 2020, she earned her master's degree in Public Health from King's College London, UK. After completing her MPH, she spent several years working as a Clinical Research Associate. She then joined the National Center for Child Health and Development in Japan as a Research Fellow where she conducted both qualitative and quantitative research for child and maternal health, with a focus on policy research. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Tokyo, examining the association between rising temperatures and adolescent mental health in Cambodia.
